THE ART OF INTIMACY AFTER CHILDBIRTH and Scar-Tissue Healing 
(Treatment of Postpartum and or Post-Operational Scars) -IRELAND

At our seminar you will find out how to renew your intimate life after childbirth and become familiar with techniques for the healing of postpartum difficulties, of both a physical as well as a psychological nature, thanks to the use of aware touching and intimate massage.

„At the present time there are many seminars advising women on how to prepare themselves for giving birth. However, too little attention is paid to the topic of the relationship between a man and a woman after a child is born to them and to the physical and psychological difficulties which can follow this event, in the case of the mother especially. This in spite of the fact that up to 80 per cent of couples have problems of this kind following the birth of a baby. That is why we have prepared a course designed to help, in an effective way, couples in this situation, so that the arrival of the baby does not become a barrier between the parents.“ says Denisa Palečková, a leading expert on partnership relationships and intimacy.

At the seminar you will find out about techniques for intimate massage and the art of slow lovemaking, which can be very helpful in the renewal of the sexuality of the woman and further  assist her in unfolding a harmonious relationship with her partner. Scars causing pain or lack of sensitivity during lovemaking can appear not only as a result of giving birth, but also can result from any medical, especially surgical, procedure or other wounding. Gentle, love-filled massage techniques lead to healing and the revival of feeling in the given area, to the washing away of painful emotions „conserved/preserved“ in the tissues of the body and to the rebirth of the ability to feel pleasure. During the weekend we will familiarize you with these approaches by means of both lectures and demonstration.

The seminar is suitable for:

• midwives and birth assistants;
• therapists concerned with relationship problematics;
• anyone who has scars on their body as a result of surgical operations, birth or other situations and/or medical procedures;

as well as for anyone else interested in these themes :-)

During the course, the participants will also find out what the difference is between active and passive scarring. They will learn techniques of relaxing, conscious breathing and spiralling as well as the technique of healing via energy.

Denisa Palečková, MSc, and Richard Vojík, MSc, are internationally acclaimed teachers working in the field of intimate relationships, sexuality, tantra, personal transformation and holistic massage. They are certified Sexological Bodyworkers (IASHS – Institute of Advanced Study of Human Sexuality) and did study many different modalities of helping people to enhance their healing and personal growth (trainings in tantra, tantra massage, taoist massage, quodoushka, bodywork in psychotherapy, human centered psychotherapy, family constellations, healing birth trauma and others).

This unique approach is amazingly powerful not only thanks to the well-designed technique, but also to the attitude of love and presence of the massage therapist. Apart from working in their home country Czech Republic, Denisa and Richard also organize workshops in England, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Thailand – and any other country upon request.

Their courses are very open, friendly, full of respect, knowledge and fun at the same time.
